Mr. Erastus Edung Ethekon HSC
About
A distinguished legal practitioner and strategic advisor, Mr. Erastus Edung Ethekon HSC serves as the Board Chairman of the Pastoralist Development Agenda. He brings over 15 years of leadership experience in championing governance, peace and sustainable development across Africa.
As an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, he has a proven record of accomplishment in designing complex development programmes and providing high-level policy advisory to top organizations, including governments, the African Union and the United Nations. His expertise spans electoral support, conflict prevention and integrating human rights into development frameworks.
Through his work, Mr. Ethekon has successfully mobilised significant funding for peace and humanitarian initiatives and played pivotal roles in mediating cross-border conflicts. His career began at the grassroots level with Kenya’s Electoral Commission, where he served as Presiding Officer for the 1997 and 2002 general elections. Most recently, he served as a Thematic Expert for the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), as the first County Attorney for Turkana County, and as a Program Coordinator and Chief Technical Advisor with the UNDP, managing multi-million-dollar peacebuilding portfolios.
