Patrick Ekwam is a resourceful, objective-driven, and resilient Board Member of the Pastoralist Development Agenda, bringing over 20 years of comprehensive professional experience in value chain development, financial services products development, and credit management. His expertise in climate change and resilience, particularly in green technology financing for water and energy efficiency technologies, aligns closely with PDA’s mission of building sustainable pastoralist communities.
As the Founding CEO of Ideal Advisory Service, a locally registered consultancy firm, Mr. Ekwam has demonstrated exceptional competence in resource mobilization and strategic advisory services. He has consulted for over 20 microfinance institutions and several non-governmental organizations across Kenya, Sudan, and South Sudan, creating sustainable linkages among value chain actors and financial institutions to enhance economic resilience.
Mr. Ekwam’s extensive experience in public-private partnerships and project monitoring and evaluation provides valuable insights for PDA’s development initiatives. His work in climate resilience and green technology financing directly supports PDA’s focus areas of climate change mitigation and sustainable livelihoods. Highly networked with excellent interpersonal skills, he brings a wealth of knowledge in financial inclusion and economic development to strengthen PDA’s impact in Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands.
